§ 150.06. ANTENNA SIZE.

  • (A) A satellite earth station, located in a noncommercial zone, shall not exceed 20 feet in height, including any platform or structure upon which the antenna is mounted or attached, and such antenna shall not exceed 15 feet in diameter.
    (B) Not more than one satellite earth station shall be allowed in any noncommercial zone on any parcel of land less than one-half acre in size.
    (C) All satellite earth stations, and the construction and installation thereof, shall conform to applicable building codes, electrical codes, regulations and requirements of the village, as well as the provisions set forth herein.
    (D) Except in a commercial or industrial district, any satellite earth station constructed in a residential or multi-family residential zone shall be located and designed to reduce visual impact from the surrounding properties at street level, and to reduce the visual impact from public streets and rights-of-way, and shall be properly screened by other structures, painting or decorating and/or plantings and greenery to blend so much as is practicable with the surrounding lands.
    (E) Every satellite earth station must be adequately grounded for protection against a direct strike of lightning.
