§ 93.24. FAILURE TO ABATE; NOTICE.

- Upon the failure of the owner or occupant of said property to destroy said weeds or remove said condition, the Village Council shall cause a notice to be served upon said owner or occupant requiring such removal or destruction within ten days after service of such notice. Service of said notice shall be in person or, if such service cannot be so obtained, such notice shall be conspicuously posted on the property wherein shall specify the condition be remedied and shall specify that the owner of occupant shall have not longer than ten days in which to accomplish said removal or destruction. The failure to receive such notice shall not constitute a defense to any action for cost as provided in § 93.25. The owner must be responsible and must be aware of the property himself or herself.(Ord. 19, passed 8-2-1993)
